Instead of just putting a bunch of clothes in a suitcase, figure out what outfits you will wear; that way you are only bringing clothes that piece together with other clothes.
Make a checklist and stick to it, this will ensure you are only bring what you intended to and not adding extras into your luggage
If going somewhere warm I always bring something in case it get chilly outside, but bring one item that will go with multiple outfits because the reality is that you probably will never need it.
Plan on bringing flexible pieces that can be worn during the day and at night to make the most of all your outfits
Keep your cables and cords in place in a case
Keep your jewelry safe and compact in a pill case. This is also a good way to hide your jewelry in an unexpected place.
Always keep your underwear in their own separate place.
Never fold! It takes up so much room. Instead, roll your clothes (they won’t get wrinkly, I always do it)
Make sure you’re as prepared as you can be for an emergency situation and make your own medical emergency kit that is customized to your needs
Place your shoes at the bottom of your suitcase. They are most likely the heaviest item to pack, and you don’t want your luggage to be top heavy and tip over
Pick up a luggage scale that will calculate the weight of your bag. Most airlines allow up to 10 kg or 22 lbs. per carryon bag. Keep to this weight and it’s unlikely you’ll overpack.
