The beaches on St. Thomas are breathtaking! The island has a gem that is known for one of the most beautiful beaches in the world called Magens Bay. Magens bay is a beach known for its beauty, the snorkelling and the atmosphere, it is truly amazing. If ever in St. Thomas, you will regret it, if you don't visit Magens Bay.
The City
Shop till you Drop! Find great deals on duty-free jewelry, timepieces, and electronics along Charlotte Amalie's Main Street—but don't forget to pick up some locally made crafts as well. The shopping in St. Thomas is legendary, it'll be hard to walk away from St. Thomas empty handed. On St. Thomas, stores on Main Street in Charlotte Amalie are open weekdays and Saturday 9 to 5. The hours of the shops in the Havensight Mall (next to the cruise-ship dock) and the Crown Bay Commercial Center (next to the Crown Bay cruise-ship dock) are the same, though occasionally some stay open until 9 on Friday, depending on how many cruise ships are anchored nearby. It is crucial you check when cruise ships are coming in, because it can get crazy busy if you go on a day when a boat is in St. Thomas. You may also find some shops open on Sunday if cruise ships are in port. Hotel shops are usually open evenings as well.
The Roads
If you are from North America, this is an important one...they drive on the other side of the road! If you are renting a car, you have to understand that everything is opposite when it comes to which way every is driving. The roads are very narrow in some areas and can cause from lots of craziness on the roads, so be careful!
When To Go
St. Thomas has a tropical climate that’s warm and sunny with an average temperature of 88 degrees year round. The rainy season is from September to November with the driest season in January to March.
