How To Stay Healthy While Traveling

Stretch

When traveling, you are usually walking more often than usual. Most travellers don't think of how much walking they are actually doing and it is important to stretch at the end of every day so you feel healthy and ready to go the next morning. Forgetting to stretch can disrupt your travelling because of excessive soreness the next day from the unusual amount of moving you are doing compared to your normal every day life.

Carry a Reusable Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is super important when traveling to a hot or cold destination when traveling. Your body needs a certain amount of water to function properly. Not drinking enough water could resolve in a horrible head ache that will take time away from your vacation.

Adopt a "Travel Workout Routine"

Staying on track with your physical fitness is super important. If you are working out hardcore at home, then you go on vacation and abruptly stop working out; this will shock your system and you won't feel the best. You don't have to workout the same as if you were at home, but do some exercises that will get your heart rate up.

PRACTICE “HARA HACHI BU (Eat until your 80% Full)

When eating a meal, and wanting to lose a couple extra pounds and be healthy, only eat until your 80% full. If you eat until you are 90% or 100% full, this means that you will probably feel bloated and lazy the rest of the day, and you don't want that when you're on vacation! This is something that Japanese practise, it is called Hara Hachi Bu, which means eat until your 80% full. The healthiest people on the planet, the Okinawan people, often live to 100 years and are known to be the healthiest people in the world; they practise Hara Hachi Bu.
